She was no doubt waiting in line to ride the slide down, maybe you could convince her to carry you down with her. That'd at least be safer than sliding down on your little lonesome and ending up randomly displaced in the middle of the pool or even potentially on or in a customer. You shudder to think about it. So, you buck up the courage to tap on the side of the woman's foot in order to try and get her attention. Her soles are pretty calloused, as in hardly soft at all, and while her skin is generally dark, the bottoms of her feet are about as pale as you are.
"Excuse me, miss." You say as you gently prod her foot. You look up and see her paying you no mind, so you try again, this time tapping harder. That gets her attention. She looks down at you looking up at her and instinctively grimaces, tapping you with her foot which sends you sliding along the floor a bit away. She acts as if she's just seen a bug which naturally isn't what you want to be seeing. You quickly get back on your feet and wave your arms trying to let her know that you aren't a bug. "Miss, please. I'm not a bug, I'm a person! I'm a lifeguard!"
