Miharu Shinonome was staying over with her aunt Keiko and her cousins Chiharu and Yuriko.
Miharu was walking around the house when she saw Keiko Shinonome sitting in her room.
"Auntie, what are you doing?" Miharu asked.
Keiko saw that it was Miharu and gestured for the girl to enter. "I'm just sorting through my jewelry. I'm not really one for jewelry, but I do like to buy something every once in a while."
Miharu saw all the jewelry that Keiko had. Necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, etc. It all looked pretty. One necklace caught Miharu's attention. It was a flat gold circle with two red gems attached it it. The necklace chain was silver.
Keiko noticed Miharu looking at the necklace. "My grandmother gave me that necklace. She said that it would help me out in a big way. I don't think it's happened to me. You can have it Miharu."
"Me? But, wouldn't you want to give it to Chiharu or Yuriko?"
"I can tell you really want it. Besides, I have other things that I want to give to Chiharu and Yuriko. Take it."
Miharu looked at the necklace, before taking it. She wore it around her neck.
"It looks good on you!" Keiko said.
"Thank you auntie!" Miharu responded.
Neither of them noticed the gems on the necklace glowed.
