Meeting the family.

Holding Sara in her hands, Jasmine descended a staircase to the ground floor of the house, and shouted, "Hey guys, I want you to meet someone!"
A door opened into the sitting room, and Sara found three other pairs of eyes focused on them. Staring away from the TV were presumably two parents and a younger sister. Both parents looked in their early to mid forties, whilst the younger sister appeared to be somewhere around fifteen or sixteen.
"Everyone! This is my new special friend, Sara!" Jasmine announced to her family. "Sara, this is my Dad, Sean, my Mom, Kirsty, and my little sister, Erika. Can you say hi to them?"
Sara shyly waved at the three others in the room, receiving vague and varying responses from each of the three before they returned their attention to the TV. Clearly not all that interested.
"...well that's that?" Jasmine muttered to the tiny Sara in her hands, "I'm hungry, so I'm gonna get something to eat, okay? I know you don't, but did you wanna join me? Or would you rather wait in the bedroom for me to get back?"
"Umm..." Sara hesitated, completely new to being asked her opinion, "I... think I'd rather...
