Something is happening near the floor, or the walls are pulling up. You hear hushed voices.
Gigantic spotlights hit you from nowhere, blinding you. The noise deafens you. You start to adjust, and you see a crowd all around you. They're cheering.
You're on stage.
You're on the stage of what appears to be, of all things, a tacky Japanese game show. You have a fine megavision directly in front of you, hanging above the audience of hundreds. Graphics are flying all over, as are portraits of what you assume to be previous victims in mid-laugh. You can see yourself, dead center, looking utterly panicked. Your arms are being held up in the air by the wrists, you have padded restraints around your waist, and you are stuck in contoured ankle restraints which are holding your soles straight forward. You squirm feebly.
Someone is silhouetted by smoke from behind a garish sliding door. They are holding a microphone. They step out.
