"Need it for what?" John called after her but Arina was already gone.
The next day Arina took John outside where he was overwhelmed by the strange land's heat and the surroundings which looked to be like a tropical jungle. Everywhere he saw, there were small huts small enough to fit maybe two people. Arina was dressed in her usual jungle gear and John still could not help but stare so he decided to try conversation.
"What is this place?" he asked her.
"I'm afraid I'm not permitted to tell you that. All I can say is that you are the only man or 'boy' I should say in this place."
"Are you amazons?" John asked a bit skeptically.
"No...we are something else." She said a bit reluctantly.
"Fine I won't push it but look you got to understand I'm experiencing heightened levels of anxiety right now...you guys contacted me and you said you wouldn't mean me any harm."
"That was me that gave you that message. 'I' do not want to harm you. There are a few women here who are peaceful actually. But the dominant ones..." she motioned and that made John think of Volisha. "still want to make an impression, you could say."
"So let me get this straight, I can get out of here in a year if you help me?" John asked.
"Correct."
"So how are you going to help me today?"
"By this..." she turned over a few shrubs aside where giant trees blocked a giant donut."
