He fell asleep inside the store and it closed.

Huffing, puffing and generally feeling exhausted from all the running, Theodore came to rest at the end of the aisle on his bottom. Which, he noticed, was a bit more padded than the last time he had sat upon it.

Theodore looked down at the distended belly that hovered between his splayed legs. He placed a hand near his naval, hoping against hope that maybe it was just a trick of the light and that really he was still just his normal chubby self. But alas, it definitely felt bigger. "Err...no big deal," Theodore told himself, not caring to notice the irony in that statement. "Once Alvin, Simon and I head out on tour, I'll work this off."

He had some trouble believing himself—after all, he and the other chipmunks had been on countless tours before and he never managed to drop any weight. Still, the thought made him feel better.

As his breathing evened out, he felt his eyelids getting heavy. Soon, they dropped completely and the even breathing became a soft snore. Theodore unconsciously curled himself up into a ball on the floor and was counting sheep before he knew it.

Some hours later, when he awoke, he saw...
