Corrin's feminine voice rang through his ears. Takumi froze, not wanting to move but his body taking involuntary steps towards her room.
“W-what did you call me for?” Takumi said, trying to hide his fear behind his usual gruff exterior. He gulped. Looking up he could see her, holding that dreadful pen like object.
Corrin smiled wordlessly. Takumi clenched his teeth in anticipation. He wanted to run, but couldn't move his body at all. At least he could move his head, for all the good it did him.
The giant pen like object descended down on him. He tried to roll out of the way, but he could only turn his head, causing the object to poke him on his cheek.
The touch of plastic felt strange against his skin.
“Ugh being jostled by you is the worst feeling.”
Corrin did not stop her assault, or even bother to respond to Takumi's complaint. Instead she brought the stylus down again, prodding his cheeks once more.
In spite of the situation Takumi smiled.
“Well, I guess it isn't so bad to spend time together as siblings from time to time.”
Corrin wasn't sure what would prompt Takumi to say that at a time like this or why her siblings kept reminding her she was related when she did this but saw no reason to stop poking her brother's cheeks.
As she kept prodding, Takumi tried to look away, but his cheeks lit up red, not merely in embarrassment but something else. Corrin knew deep down there was nothing her siblings enjoying more than being poked in the face with a stylus. She had wondered why they had been so slow to accept it before.
Takumi suddenly smiled.
“I love you... more than anyone else!”
Score! Takumi had always been so cold to her, having been raised by an enemy nation, but Corrin knew that if she tapped Takumi's face enough times, he would come around.
Encouraged, Corrin stepped up her jabbing. The smile on Takumi's face only deepened.
“Because you exist, I am who I am.”
Corrin suddenly stopped. She wasn't sure she wanted to do this any longer.
