Morgan scowled a familiar scowl not unlike his mother's as he carefully considered his options. In his current state there was no guarantee that he would be able to safely gather the amount of mana necessary to activate the tome. The spell itself could backfire, or worse, he could explode from prana overload.
He distinctly remembered Miriel's lectures about the dangers of prana overload and mages who grossly overestimated their abilities. The last thing he wanted was to tempt fate in this regard and wind up an unnoticeable smear on the ground. He almost had earlier when Lucina stepped inside the tent.
He really didn't want to, but it would appear his only option may be to scale up his elder sister's body until he reached her face or ear. "What's Morgan's robe doing on the ground?" she sounded from above.
The miniature tactician gulped as he felt the earth shake beneath him from Lucina's footfalls. Those velvet blue boots filled him with dread as they nearly flattened him not too long ago, yet he had no choice but to rely on them to reach his goal. How ironic. He wanted to be more like his mother and use strategy to reach his objective, but as fate would have it, he'd need to charge in head first like his father.
Morgan began to back away quickly as those enormous boots of Lucina's inched closer to his position. Each step only grew in power as she approached, so much so that the little tactician in training actually fell on his rump as a dark shadow overtook him. His fellow bluenette had stopped just short of him and his discarded cloak.
"Honestly, he shouldn't leave his clothes scattered about. We do share a tent after all." She sighed. Now was his chance, he had to scale the princess's boot while she was stationary. Morgan swiftly rose to his feet and hurriedly made his way over to the castle-sized princess. As she crouched down to pick up the cloak, she paused for a moment to look over the tome inside. "That's odd. Morgan never leaves his books on the ground."
No, he really didn't. There was a small flicker of hope inside Morgan that maybe this would push his big sister to investigate further. As she picked up the yellow thunder tome, Morgan came to a dead stop in front of her boot. It was huge. He knew he was small, possible just shorter than a half inch, but wow. This would be a physical task unlike any other. Even more challenging than Kjelle's strength training.
Morgan gulped and tried his best to take a deep breath. Being like mother would do him no good in this situation, for now he had to be more like his father and charge in head first. He cleared his mind of all doubts and charged straight at the awaiting footwear. With a roaring shout he jumped forward and began to try and scale the blue boot.
"Hmm? I never did fully understand magic. Perhaps I could ask mother to show me?" Lucina questioned as she finished looking over the tome. She the picked up the black cloak as she rose to her feet. Clearly Morgan wasn't in here, so he must be out by himself studying again or setting another trap to catch mother off guard. He was strange like that. Oh well. She draped the cloak over a small chest and decided her next course of action...
