Awkward!

Azura blinked. "Sorry what?"

"I'm just wondering why neither of us wear shoes, you know? ? I mean thinking back on it, how did I survive walking to the ice village like this?"

Azura frowned. "All this time we've been apart and all you can talk about is your feet?"

Corrin looked up and grinned. "Sorry. I just had it on my mind. I mean, I don't really know what else to say. It's just..." She paused and took a deep breath. "It's good to see you Azura."

The giantess smiled. "Likewise. Old friend." She leaned her hand closer and pressed her against her lips again.

Corrin was silent for a moment a bit overwhelmed by that experience.

"So," she said after a long pause. "Care to explain this?"

Explain it she did, after which Corrin again paused taking it all in.

"So you really were dead."

"Yes. I could see you the whole time, but I couldn't interact. So more or less."

"And no pendant? You can't sing yourself to death?"

"No. No more." She smiled. "Once again, I'm a burden with an extra large mouth to feed."

"Nonsense," Corrin assured her. Putting her hand on her hand, and staring at her fiercely. "Everyone will be overjoyed to see you."

"Right," Azura sounded uncertain. "Are you sure they'll be ok?"

"Well they might be shocked, but you're their family. They'll adapt."

"We could do that or..." Azura thought for a minute. "There is somewhere we could go. Somewhere that might have a solution."

Corrin nodded. She knew where Azura meant.

"Well we aren't gonna decide tonight. I say we sleep and decide in the morning."

Azura smiled. "In that case, you can lay here." She leaned onto her back placed Corrin on her chest. "After all that time apart, no way I'm going to let you go away."

Corrin grinned and laid her head down on Azura's chest, her giant hand coering her and keeping her warm, her chest lulling her to sleep.

Azura laid awake for a bit longer, contemplating the future. What would she do? Did she dare return home to see her family, or go with Corrin in search of a solution?
