It did not take long for the two to drift off to sleep, Chrom especially in his comfy position.
The two awoke the next morning, well rested. They foraged some breakfast and ate it together.
Chrom bit into some fruit and looked up at his wife, still getting used to seeing her at this size.
"I suppose we should be heading back."
Robin nodded.
"Indeed, the Shepards need there leaders. I was worried about the effect this mark would have on my mind, but I realized I am still me, I still care about my friends and family and wish to protect them above all else. With all of you beside me, I do not think this mark will warp my mind. I do not feel Grima's presence inside of me. Thank you Chrom for helping me realize this."
She wrapped a finger around his body, loosely hugging him. Chrom smiled back.
"I'm glad my words have consoled you. In truth though your size could pose a problem in the long-term you would be invaluable in helping us hunt down the remaining Risen."
"Yes, I had already thought as much. I could ask others such as Mirrel or Laurent if they could look up any details on my mark. If I could understand and harness it's power, I could make this land safer for everyone and I quite like the thought of being able to control my size, if such a thing is possible."
"You're several steps ahead of me as always." Chrom said, affectionately though with a hint of envy.
Robin frowned.
"The only problem I see is that my size would make me a larger target for projectiles, though I am sure I am tougher and more resistant before. To what extent I cannot be sure, but with the other Shepard's supporting me I see nothing to worry about."
