The wait

Nothing out of the ordinary occurs on Grace's short walk to the bus stop, where Michelle, the curly, brown-haired best friend of Grace is waiting, clutching her binder to her chest, yawning, still half-asleep. Waiting there with her, Grace makes small girl talk with her best friend as they await the city bus that will take them by their school.
