Matsumoto patted her cleavage gently, "I'll just save it for later... Don't want Taicho yelling at me for not doing even more work." she said to herself just now realizing she had walked out on Hitsugaya in the middle of their paperwork sessions.
After a quick run to the nearest candy store she burst back into Hitsugaya's squad 10 office with an armful of treats, which she dumped on his desk as a sort of bribe for forgiveness. Hitsugaya looked up at her with his usual dead-pan expression, "You ran out int he middle of your paperwork for this..?" she muttered angrily, surveying the stack of candies and pastries.
Matsumoto nodded vigorously holding up a couple of doughnuts in each hand, "Your comment earlier gave me the idea to grab something to munch on while we work!" she lied while giving a false grin. Hitsugaya grabbed a single watermelon flavored piece of candy and popped it into his mouth, partly because he was hungry, but also because he wasn't in the mood to argue with Rangiku today. "Just get the rest of it off my desk and get back to work." he said with a slightly calmer tone.
The rest of the day was spent doing paper-work with minimal complaining from Matsumoto. This was mostly because she had something stuffed in her mouth at all times. At the end of the work day there was barely anything left from Mastumoto's snack pile but the garbage.
"That's should do it for today... You're free to go, nut take your trash with you." Hitsugaya commanded as he dropped the last piece of paperwork onto his stack. "Oh! thank you Taicho!" Matsumoto shouted with glee as she stuffed all her leftover snacks into her arms and hurried out the door shouting, "Have a nice day off!" as she left.
'So, what to do now?' Matsumoto thought. She could hurry back to her quarters and try the pill now, or she could put that off till tomorrow when she has the rest of the day and celebrate the weekend now with some Sake.
