Brain was in the middle of a vast alien beach. Well, not that alien. For the most part it looked like an ordinary beach. The only odd thing was that the sand seemed to go miles inland. Far off in the distance Brain could see something. It kind looked like a woman with a long stick or spear. She was wearing something metallic, with reflections from the setting sun, made her even harder to make out.
Using his hands like a megaphone, Brain called out, "HELLO!" Along the flat beach and against the crash of the tides it seemed unlike that his voice would reach her, but it did. The distant figure snapped to attention and looked straight at Brain. She began running toward the young teen. Being charged by this strange warrior woman would have been extremely unnerving, had she not dropped her spear in her excitement, and began to wave her arms. It was though she'd been expecting him. As she got closer, Brain was able to make out her armer. It appeared to be more showy then practical, and with the exception of her Spanish Cabasett, none of it seemed to cover anything important.
Watching her get closer, Brain began to realize that he'd badly estimated her distance. He had simply assumed she was about his size. In truth she was much farther and much larger then he'd realized. Enormous really. She was only a few strides away and Brain was craning his neck up. He was haven't second thought about this and turned to run. He didn't make it far before the giant dived gracelessly onto her belly, catching Brain in her hands.
The next thing Brain knew he was face to face with the giant. She was spitting out a mouth full of beach. While there was something about her that wasn't quite human, she appeared more human then anything else. Still Brian couldn't shake the feeling he was looking at a giant dog.
Once her mouth was free of grit, her face took on a look of shear joy; like she was about to cry and making no effort to stop herself. "You're Brain aren't you? The one that got a D in social studies. You're going to save us right? Right?"
Brain was suddenly horrified; to much so to even move. Not because of her size or the power she had over him, but she knew his grades. His parents didn't even know about that D. And sense she knew about it there was know telling what other humiliating dark secretes she knew about him.
Apparently Brain had been quiet to long. The glint trust vanished the giant's eye. She tightened her grip. "You are Brian aren't you? You have to be because if you're not you can't know what I'm doing here. No one can know and if you do I'll have to do... something."
