Trust in a child

"So someone actually fell in here. Well I'm glad I'm not alone anymore."

The voice resounds in her dazed mental state regardless as your head finally stops spinning you notice the small child (of about eight years old) staring straight at you.

Shaking the final cobwebs out of her mind you take in the image of the little girl, she is by no means a "native" of the island. Properly dressed in a cute pink t-shirt and knee-high shorts along with a pair of white colored sneakers. Her raven-toned hair almost hidden away by the darkness but her ocean blue eyes sparkle with mischief as she walks up to you.

By force of habit you bite your lower lip since you had this habit of not cursing in front of children, which more than likely came about from your eternal soft-spot for children in general. Regardless you figure the girl no doubt heard you after you made quite a punishing impact on the ground below.

"Hey you okay?" she asks kindly, staring upward.

"...Yeah." You respond before rubbing your side of your hips, the sting of the fall still coursing through your being.

"That must have hurt." "Like you wouldn't believe. Where are we and just who are you?" you decide to ask, your curiosity growing.

"My name's Amy and I'm here to guide out...and hopefully you'll be able to walk out on your own two feet."

You wonder for a moment what she meant then you come to realize that the girl obviously speaking about your weight.

'There's no way I'm losing this and no way am I rolling out of here.'

"Well then Amy the name's..." "Lauren right? I was informed of you and the others before you arrived."

The girl giggles before turning on heel and taking a few steps forward, grabbing two torches she signals for you to step forward. Sighing slightly you walk toward her, a few questions still circling your mind but you decide to push them aside for now and trust in the child.

'I really hope this kid isn't leading me into a trap.'

You take one of the torches from her hand and follow close behind the girl.

You have the following choices:

1. You notice some fruit dangling from the roof

*Noteb*
2. You hear the sound of rushing water

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
