You're not about to tell these guys anything. The existence of the transformation gun must be kept secret. Sure, you could tell your friends, but they'll tell other people eventually. And once that happens, it might as well be public knowledge. No, there's no advantage in telling.

Of course, they might lose their interest in pestering you if they were a little distracted. You could go find their crushes, and mind-control those crushes into starting relationships with your friends. You bet they'd enjoy that.

On the other hand, what's the downside in telling them to fuck off? How far are they really going to go to figure out what's going on?
