Digesting Her Situation

For a few moments, Shenzi wondered what the noise was and whether it was dangerous, then it came again, longer this time, and a little louder, and she realised it was her stomach beginning the work of digesting the massive meal. Of course, digestion took time and resources, and so she was soon asleep.

When Shenzi awoke the next morning she quickly discovered the effect the meat was having on her, she was quite a bit bigger now, and that worried her, not that she was bigger, but she'd grown 'so much' bigger overnight.

Shenzi rose, with some difficulty, and as she did so, the smell of the meat washed over her, making her realise how hungry she was, even as she worried about it.
