Exploring the castle

You do not hear any signs of anyone, so you decide to explore the castle. Maybe you can find something of value. A diamond ring at your size would be enough to feed your family for a year, but a giant ring, that could make you exceedingly rich for a lifetime.

The hallway you are in breaks off into two passages. One seems to go to a larger room where you see something glimmering. The other looks to go to some bedrooms.
