Chris stepped out of the machine, but nearly tripped. He was off-balance. He looked down and saw his body had changed - his hair was now down to his shoulders, his arms and legs were slimmer, his chest was slightly pushed out, his waist was thinner, and his hips were slightly larger.
He noticed something missing down below, also noticing his (her?) clothes had changed - he (she?) was now wearing a red blouse with short white sleeves and a short blue skirt. A pair of girl's sneakers completed the clothing. She was a girl.
"It worked! It worked!" Tails hopped around in glee, smiling and laughing. Chris was considerably less amused.
"Change me back, Tails!" Chris yelled, cringing at her higher voice.
"Uh, about that... The machine has a one day recharge time. I can only use it once a day. You could go out for a while, it should be ready tomorrow," Tails said, a tinge of nervousness failing to cover his joy at the machine working.
Chris sighed and decided there was no use staying here.
