WARNING: suspense may kill you!

Tails is worried as he is unsure why the tesla-coils were sending lightning everywhere. he decides to shut if off when the capsule started to crack and the main disrecombulating capacitor was sparking. but in an instant it bursts into electric surging and it blocked the power switch, all bulb tips of the tesla-coils were exploding into showers of sparks, the glass covered gauges and LED lights were breaking in violent blasts of more glowing-yellow particles. Electric shocks were scaling the glass tubes and metal frames and cracking to the point of smashing. Tails looked out the window and saw the street lamps on the rails of the tram surge dimmer and swinging back to brighter. Tails knew he had to do something, if he leaves the machine breaking itself violently, the machine will explode, might cause a blackout and something bad is going to happen to sonic, if he tries to turn it off, he may risk himself to save the machine and sonic. what's best?
