Conker was initially going to avoid talking to Birdy again, feeling that anything he had to tell him wouldn't be worth it, and worse would come at a price. Not that money was a problem for King Conker - it had a way of coming back to him. So Conker tried going up the path over the Waterfall to get back to the cross-roads. However suddenly, Birdy appeared out of the ground blocking his bath.
"Uhhh, wait there - hold on there uh, Mr. Squirrel-guy; I gots something real important to tell you," Birdy said with his raspy voice.
"Oh, yeah I'm sure...And I guess its going to cost me a few bucks, eh?" Conker asked.
"No, Don't matter; I got...tell you...real important," Birdy said.
"Oh, okay cool. So what is it?" Conker asked.
"Uh...what was it...was it again? Oh - oh yeah; you...squirrel...Big trouble, yeah; danger ahead," Birdy said.
"Trouble? Danger? What kind of Danger?" Conker asked.
"Uh...who now was it uh...Oh yeah; lotta people...the people you helped in your last adventure...Well they uh...they have a grudge against you."
"A grudge?" Conker asked. "Why would they have a grudge against me? I did help them out after all."
"Uh...I think...maybe uh...You did not do good job at helping them," Birdy said. "Now...they want revenge."
"Pfeh...they want revenge," Conker said. "I doubt there's anything I can't handle; I mean what can they do to me? I'm the King."
"Well...whatever," Birdy said. "I go to bed now...Good luck and...nice knowing you." With that, Birdy disappeared again.
"Ah what does he know...I don't think I'm in any kind of danger," Conker said. "After everything I went through last time, I think I deserve a good day for once. Plus, I really doubt that any of the losers I helped out last time would really be in such a vindictive mood. And even if they do, what can they really do to me?" Conker then began to walk off toward the waterfall. "Danger - what a laugh. Who would want to read a story about me getting into some kind of danger?"
