didn't care about her figure at all, the only thing on his mind was to help her.
He tried to help Ariel in any way he could, but Ariel was reluctant, because she didn't want Eric to see her in this state, especially when her mermaid self was so beautiful, compared to her fat self now. She blamed herself for making this decision; there was no way Eric would recognise her as the mermaid that saved his life now, and worse still, she did not have her voice. She pushed him away, refusing his help, even though deep down, she really wanted Eric to help her.
However, Eric was one that would do something he had set his mind on, and he refused to leave Ariel in need. Looking around, he saw an old abandoned sail, and helped wrapped the sail around her to cover her up. The sail was just the right size.
