Chapter #9

Continue asking her questions

    by: Unknown
Suddenly another woman came and joined the group.
'You know who I think killed the woman, Mrs.Matthews, the first one...The butchers are a black family. I'm not discriminating but this is pretty much an amish town and other people here might.' She paused for a moment, like she'd said too much and went silent, one of the few amish traditions they followed, never say too much to outsiders.
'And your name is?'
'Daniella Miller sir, daughter of Mr.Byler, the farmer. This is my younger sister Darielle, I apologise for her sharp tongue, the younger are not allowed to speak to outsiders at all. I am married to John Miller, the baker, he welcomes tourism so I'm allowed to speak to you before you dip your fingers into all types of pies your not welcome in.'
'Well, thank you for this chat but I'm sorry Mrs.Miller, we aren't going anywhere.' He and Riley got back into the uncover cop car and stared for a moment, Daniella looked down at the ground looked back up as if in so much pain and then turned round,
'Daniel! Daniel, Mark, Luke! Come out, they've gone.' She paused to slant evils at the talking cops in the car.
'She's the leader of the mothers. We'll have to get close to her to know how Rachel died.'
'Daniel, back to the butchers with you, ask the butcher if we can have a lamb for dinner tonight, Mark get to the farm, collect me six eggs while you're there and as much vegetables as you can fit in this basket, Luke your father needs you at the bakers, tell him to be home for seven with a large loaf of bread please.' She span on her toes,
'You're presence here is no longer welcome.' before walking into the crowds and away from the small plot for our car to park.
