"Dammit, he's at football practice, isn't he?" you say to yourself.
You wait in your car for the three hours until he gets home. You two go to his basement, play some Madden, BS for a while...the usual stuff. Eventually, the topic gets around to...
"Wouldn't it be great to be one of those guys?"
Everett chuckles a bit. "It isn't that simple. You don't just be an NFL player, you have to work for it. These guys are in the weight room at 6 in the morning and on the practice field by 9. By the time they get done watching game film, it's dark half of the time. This is their life, and they have to do it for years before they even get close to the League."
"I get that, but..." You take out the Medallion.
"Nice necklace. You take that out of your mom's jewelry box or something?"
"Hardy har. Got this thing in the mail today, with a note that said that people can use it to become different people."
"Wait a second...here we go." He shows you his iPod, which has a picture on it.
"How do I get through your skull...got it." You see a sock on the floor, touch it with the Medallion, and give it to Everett.
"Alright, I'll play along." He puts it around his neck, and (of course) the changes begin.
