David nervously glanced through his mom’s clothes, finally settling on a pretty blouse and skirt set, deciding if he was going to try this he might as well pick something very feminine. He was startled by the phone ringing. Swallowing his heart back into his chest, he picked up the phone.
His dad was on the other end. David was surprised when he explained that he too, was going to have to leave town for several days on business. Just like his mom, David’s dad told him to let his mom know since she was not answering her phone. David was still shaken up by the phone ringing and didn’t mention that his mom had also called and said she was going to be gone also. As he hung up the phone he realized that he and his younger sister were going to be home alone for the next several days. His idea might work better than he though.
David steeled his nerves and went back to the closet and gathering up the items he had chose earlier, then laid them out on the bed and started taking off his shirt and shorts. He had just removed his shirt when he was surprised by his sister’s voice.
“Uhm, David, what are you doing?” she asked with obvious humor in her voice at what she was seeing, thoughts of the blackmail power she could use against him.
David was panicked. “Uh, nothing, I was, uh, I got nothing,” he stuttered, embarrassed at being caught.
Erin raised an eyebrow, “It looks like you were getting ready to put on mom’s clothes. David is there something I need to know about you?”
David wasn’t sure what to say. “It’s not what it looks like. Okay, it’s what it looks like, but I have a good explanation.”
“This ought to be good. Go ahead, lets hear it.” Erin replied with a smirk.
“Okay. Well, mom and dad have called and said they were both going to be out of town for a couple of days on business, something about work. So, I don’t think either one knows the other is gone, cause Mom asked me to pass it along to everyone else and so did Dad. Anyway, I, uh, found this medallion and it’s supposed to be magical.” David said.
Erin chuckled, “Magical, huh, and you believe that? What’s it supposed to do, Mr. Gullible?”
“Uh, it’s supposed to allow a person to change into another person by touching or wearing their clothes. I admit I don’t believe it, but I was going to see if it was real.”
“Okay, so....., you choose mom’s clothes?” Erin questioned.
“Well, yeah, I figured if it worked I wanted to see something dramatic.” David answered sheepishly.
Erin grinned evilly, “That would definitely would be a change. So, what’s this medallion look like?”
David held it up for Erin to see.
“So if I touched it to Mom’s clothes I would change into her? How do you change back?”
David shrugged, “I honestly don’t know yet, but that’s why I was going to test it.”
Erin quickly snatched the medallion from David’s grip. “So what if I want to try it too?”
David tried to grab it back, “Hey that’s mine and I was going to try it.”
Erin held it tightly in her hand and walked toward the clothes lying on the bed. She started to touch them, but changed her mind and walked to the closet. She glanced at the choices of her father’s and mother’s clothes.
