What happened?

You walk twards the big guy but you notice that his hide seems to be a bit darker than you remember. As you approach and see that the reason is that the dragon has a sword imbeded in its chest. It is sitting there gaurding the entrance. You spot a gleam and notice an egg sitting just underneath the dragons chest. You quickly move twards the dragon dispite the uneasy feeling that had held you back barely 2 seconds ago. As you reach the egg, the dragon....
