"Hello." Nick said on the phone. "Yes, this is Nick Anders." He listened for about thirty seconds before protesting, "but we just got back from our honeymoon, can't you find ..." He continued to listen for another twenty seconds, and then said, "All right, all right, I'll be right there."
Nick put the phone down, and faced his wife. "Sorry, honey. The plant called. One of the workers on the morning shift was hurt, and they need somebody to fill in.
"Nick ..." Heather moaned.
"Nothing I can do about it. Duty calls." Nick kissed her on the forehead. "I should be back by six. Bye."
"Bye." Heather said as her husband walked out the door. She went over to the window to watch Nick go into the car and drive away. "Damn it" she exclaimed. Their afternoon plans were ruined. They were going to go the beach to relax. Dejected, Heather sat on the couch and resumed watching the TV.
