When you get up, you feel very disorientated. You can't see much, it's quite dark and your vision is a little blurry. You feel a pressure on your feet, and your arms seem to be tangled in something. You wrestle one arm free and try to comfort your throbbing head. To your surprise, you arm flies up with little force. It would have extended all the way, but it has hit something. You look up, and with your slightly adjusted vision, see that your hand is resting what looks like a fine carpet.
"Huh" you say in a slow quiet whisper. You relax your arm, but it does not come down. You look around again, you can see little cracks in the wall to the side of your head. The amount light coming through each varies, but it's all pure white. After staring for a little while, you think that the wall looks more like a window. You follow the edge of the cracks and, it makes a shape that looks a lot like a car door window. However, something is obscuring the view out of it. You look back up at your arm. It's not actually above you, you're just upside down, apparently in a car.
You try to free you other arm, you pull with what strength you have, fighting some invisible force holding you. After a good tug, you get it free, and it falls to meet its twin below your inverted head. By now, you can feel the build up of blood in you skull. You want to get out of your position. You look at the window, it doesn't look openable. Turning to look the other way, you see some light coming from behind. Perhaps the back window of the car is broken. You try to move out of your seat, but you're held in place by something. You move you arms to feel around your body, but one of them hurts.
"Ah!"
And both arms drop again. You try again, but a lot slower, and this time bring your arms up to your body. You feel around, your clothing is definitely different. You must be in something like a winter coat. You tug on it, it's not holding you back. Gliding your hands over more of your body, you feel a strap. A seatbelt. Since you're upside down, undoing it will make you fall. You take one arm and reach for the roof of the car, then unclick the belt with the other arm. You still fall a bit, but you end up caught by the wall. You begin to weasel out of the car.
A few minutes later, you reach the back window, there a big hole in the middle, you crawl through. It's a lot brighter outside, you can't see at first. All you know is that it's cold. There is wind, and the ground is soft and icey. It has to be snow.
When your eyes focus, you see that your in the middle of a snowy plain. There isn't much around except snow and some trees, and visibility is obscured by fast falling flakes. You almost decide to get back in the car when you hear a voice. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
