You get to the kitchen and wash your hands at the sink. There is a lot of commotion going on, like usual, with the TV and the clattering of pots and dishes. "Mom" had made your favorite tonight-- grilled barbecue chicken with a chef salad.
"Come on honey, dinner will get cold if you don't come out here RIGHT NOW!" Amber calls out to her 'husband'. He answers, "okay Elisa, I'm just finishing some calculations..."
"So, who's ready for some chicken?" Amber says, unwrapping the aluminum foil on a large plate, revealing some delectable-looking chicken. Yummy!
"Mom, you know I absolutely loathe it when you kill such innocent creatures." Ember whines. You roll your eyes.
"Shut up Ember!" Amber smiles powerfully. "Now I want to see you eat a whole chunk of this chicken, that I've been slaving over for a long time with. It's either that, or I ground you for a week!"
You find it extremely hard not to burst out laughing as Amber forces Ember to eat a juicy slab of grilled chicken breast. As you begin your meal, you get a little disappointed when you realize another consequence of swapping into Amber's body: you get all of her eating preferences as well.
"Mom, I think I'll have some more salad, rather than the chicken. Please." You say half-heartedly, as you find the taste of meat less enjoyable.
"Okay then Amber. So who's going to have it then?"
"I'll have some, Mom!" You hear your old body saying. "A growing boy's gotta eat, you know!" You sigh and sneak a glare or two at your mother, who is enjoying herself immensely being a responsibility-free teenage boy.
Dad finally arrives in the kitchen, about halfway through with dinner. He embraces Amber, who finds it to her surprise to be hugged from behind by her father. You nearly choke on your food, trying not to giggle as you see Amber's eyes express the definition of uncomfortable!
