Across the backyard the three Jones children, Jon, Megan, and little Blake are having their little adventure. An imaginary one. Jon swings a stick around, pretending its a machete, cutting down the fantasy jungle foliage. Megan fans herself with a paper plate and lets out a bored sigh. She is riding on top of Blake who is pretending he is an elephant carrying the would be adventureer's supplies.
Megan lets out another sigh. "Whats wrong Meg?" says Jon looking back at his bored sister. "Ah nothing, I'm just getting tired of playing the same games over and over and looking at the same stupid backyard."
Jon frowns and says to Megan, "Well the rest of the family will be here soon, so we'll have other kids to play with. And make sure you wear that old ring Aunt Jane gave you, it's supposed to be magic".
Megan glances down at her ring. She hadn't worn it since her aunt Jane gave it to her last year. It was old and needed polishing, and the tiny jewel encrusted in the center had a dull appearance to it. "Well I wish this magic ring would give us a real adventure" says Megan, when suddenly the jewel in the ring begins to glow from a dull red to a bright crimson. As it just so happens, the key to using the ring was to speak the words "I wish this magic ring would..." and thus the real adventure for the Jones siblings begins
