Chapter #2

The door

    by: Drez Author IconMail Icon

You shake off that feeling like you're being watched, and decide to go up to the house. As you make your way to the house, you see someone looking out of the windows of the house. It's a shadow of someone, and it's not a shadow of a human. You take another look and the shadow is gone. You shake your head again, and continue your way to the Victorian house.
The Victorian house has 5 stories, has a single tower and looks to be well-kept. Despite that look, the house looks spooky still. You see the Victorian house has a porch and something hanging on the door to the house. You walk up the stone steps up to the porch and you can now see what is hanging on the door; It's the head of a bat. It looks like the bat's head is attached to the door by something you can't see. As you walk up to the door, the bat head's eyes suddenly open and it begins to talk to you.

"The Lady Cassandra is busy at the moment. Please wait here" said the bat's head in a polite but gruff voice.
You have a good mind to run away right now. This is seriously making you uneasy. You now regret ever coming to the house at all, and start to head off the porch.
