A few hours had passed since then and a few wolves were out of sight, and so was the leader. Dusk was approaching, and nothing had been done to you. As you stood up, you wiped off the dust that gathered on your torn clothes, a few wolves looked up at you, but none bothered you.
“I’m glad to see that you’re feeling better.” A voice came from behind you. You turn around quickly to find that it was the leader of the pack once again. This time he had what looked to be a folded cloth in his mouth. “Do not be frightened,” he continued. “Here.” He placed the cloth down at your feet, and he nods you to unravel it. You pick it up and find that it’s a long beautiful gown, something a noble girl would wear. “It is yours if you so choose.”
“What on earth is going on?” You ask able to speak again.
The great wolf seemed to smile, but it’s more of a relieved smile. “You have passed the test. Humans are mostly predictable, they mate with no intention of staying with the mate, or even caring for there young. Since a few years ago, my pack has watched you, and you may be human, but you are unique. Instead of being ignored and forgotten, you have been beaten and battered. This has made you resist my power to reveal the one human fault that most humans cannot control. Lust.”
Now you are just really confused. You’ve never seen a wolf before in your life and yet here the leader himself is telling you that they’ve been watching over you for years! You open your mouth to speak, but the wolf silences you.
“You have a great many questions, yes? But all answers come with time.” The great wolf looked to the sky, “The full moon is rising. You should change soon, all will be made clear if you are deemed worthy to receive the blessed visions that the night mother gives us all.”
