“Greg?” Barry said. Barry was Greg’s new partner and they were paired up to work on a new project for the company. Barry is pretty new and he’s a young guy but he constantly is trying to suck up to Greg’s boss and he acts superior when he talks to Greg.
“Got the product reviews from the boss done yet?” Barry asked in his usual nasally voice. Greg slowly turned his chair around and held the donut in his hand.
“Sure Barry, I’ll get them in about 10 minutes, I’m typing up the new search code…” Greg hesitated.
“They aren’t ready yet?” Barry asked. “I could have done those hours ago…” Barry said as he ducked back behind his cubicle.
Greg stuffed the whole donut in his mouth to stop himself from yelling at Barry. “Man that guy gets on my nerves!” Greg thought to himself. Greg knew he should start product reviews but Barry was the new guy around here, new guys don’t act superior.
Greg shook it off and rubbed his gut. He fiddled with the tight button on his shirt and mindlessly day dreamt. He started at his huge gut. He had never noticed before how much of his lap it took up, he never noticed just how much weight he hand been putting on recently. “My pants and belt are tighter than ever!” Greg thought to himself.
Greg unbuckled his belt and took it off; he neatly placed it in his bag and continued to working. Just then…
