Sleeping Giant

Hunger satisfied and all other animals in the area having fled from the crocodile, it decides to find a sunny place to help digest its meal. That is not hard to do considering it is the middle of day. It eventually found a rocky area to settle down on and go to sleep.

While the croc has asleep a search and rescue team came in search of the missing tourists. A few hours into the search one group came upon the crocodile. They thought something seemed unusual about the crocodile, but with nothing around the crocodile to compare its size with they could not figure out what was unusual about it. It quickly became apparent to them as they approached the croc though. The people thought that their eyes were playing tricks on them at first, they had been out searching under the sun for a few hours now.

When they were within a few feet of the crocodile they called in that they had discovered something. They did not mention the giant croc specifically for fear that the others would think them crazy when they said there was a 200 foot long crocodile in front of them.

The crocodile woke up and noticed the humans that were so close to it. This was a pleasant sight to wake up to since it was hungry again. They were not even looking at the croc. The humans were talking among themselves and pointing in his general direction. The crocodile opened its mouth causing one of the humans to notice the motion. The person did not even have time to scream before the croc snapped up the entire group and tossed them into its waiting gullet.
