The TARDIS materialises on a barren planet, however, it wasn't the materialisation that we're accustomed to. Rather, while the time-ship did faze in and out of existence, it also fluctuated between sizes. When it came to, it stopped at the largest. The door swung open and out peeked a pale, round face outlined by ginger hair - that of Amy Pond.
"Yeah, we're here. Wherever here is." Her Scottish accent called back into the TARDIS. "Something was different about that materialisation," the Doctor says. "Well it seemed fine to me," Amy retorts. "I've heard this ship land a million times, Amy. I know when something's up." "Well clearly it worked fine, look." She steps out into the barren wasteland. "Now come on," she beckons him. The Doctor fiddles about with the console. "Now you just wait there a second, I'll be right back. I'm just gonna leave and come back and see if it happens again." "This isn't gonna be another case of you disappearing on me for like two years again, is it?" "What? No-- anyway. See you in a sec." The Doctor activates the TARDIS and they fade away.
Amy glances around at the barren planet, nothing in sight. That's when she feels a tapping at her foot. She looks down to see an insect creature mounting the front of her boot. "Eugh!" Amy lets out before swinging her foot quickly and sending the bug off onto the gravelly surface. Almost automatically, Amy quickly trudges over and with a vengeance smashes her boot down on the insect, grinding it as she swivels her foot from side to side. She takes a look at the bottom of her shoe to see a mess of guts and stretched out limbs. She shudders, "gross," and does her best to wipe it off against the floor.
The Doctor was only gone for about thirty seconds. He didn't notice anything wrong the materialisation this time and so heads to leave the TARDIS. He steps through the doors and looks around for Amy but nobody is in sight. "Amy?" he asks to no response before realising the the two towers in the not so distant horizon are Amy's long legs. She is an absolute monolith of a woman, towering higher than any of the natural mountains in sight. With one giant swing of her giant legs, her boot is hovering over the Doctor. He instinctually makes a run for it and just about manages to dive out of the way, in time to see Amy's boot come crashing down onto the TARDIS which shatters into a million little, blue pieces in an instant - most of which now decorate the bottom of Amy's shoe.
