"I... I need some company." she thought to herself. For her, it wasn't hard to figure out who to call.
Her friend Carla had been with her through thick and thin, though they hadn't known each other for too long. From the outside looking in, Carla was the kind of person that could come off as absolutely crazy, but after Mel had really gotten to know her, she found out that she was much more calm around friends. Perhaps she was just acting out? Mel didn't really pay attention to it too much really. She knew the "real" Carla that few gave enough time to find out about her.
She dialed Carla's number and silently prayed that she would answer. Mel counted the rings on the other end of the line as she waited. One... Two.... Three... "No, not the voicemail" she pleaded silently.
"Hello" responded Carla from the other end.
Breathing a slight sigh of relief, Mel was still a bit torn from the incident, but she spoke. "He... Hey Carla. I... I just..."
With the intuition that only friends have, Carla knew immediately something was amiss. "What's the matter Mel?"
"If you could, would you just..."
"I'll be right over. You can count on it. And I have just the thing to cheer you up."
What a good friend she was. Crazy my ass, she's just one of a kind. This whole time Mel had been fighting back tears, since Mel hated to show emotion of any kind. She deemed it a weakness. This was a fallacy of course, but in her mind, she deemed it a justifiable excuse. However, with the events that had taken place that evening, she couldn't help but let out a solitary tear that rolled from her eye and gently down her cheek, before landing on the floor with the tiniest of splashes.

Carla only lived 10 minutes away, yet it had already been 20. "I'm just over-reacting" she thought. "She'll definitely be here rigghhhttt.... NOW" The door, however, didn't open. "Blast, that never works for me."
*Knock Knock*
Mel quickly leapt to the door and opened it to Carla's bright, smiling face.
Now Carla was in no way stunning, but she was "cute" and "unique". She had a cute face with amber tone eyes, dotted by a few freckles and curly brown hair down a little ways past her shoulders. Although she was tall and slender, she lacked any sort of curves, having only B-cup breasts and an ass that, while not voluptuous, was far from flat. "Heya kiddo! What's the matter?"
Mel relayed the events in brief to Carla while Carla led Mel to the couch to sit down. Mel discussed it for about 15 minutes, with Carla offering her condolences whenever necessary. "Well, I told you I'd have just the thing to cheer you up," Carla told her. "Always does for me."
"And that would be...?" Mel inquired kindly.
"I can't tell you silly. That'd spoil it. I'll have to show you, but first, I'll have to prepare it. So no peeking!"
With that she bound out the room leaving Mel to wonder just what the heck she was up to. "Ah well, she's always doing something like that." She decided to pull out her mp3 player and listen to her music while Carla set up for whatever it was she was going to do. Mel was interrupted a few times with Carla peeking her head in the room asking Mel if she had this or that, and even once, asking if she had a blender. "What are you doing? Making a milkshake?!"
"Um... maybe! Or... Maybe not!"
That was the only answer Mel could get out of her. "Just leave her be," she thought quietly to herself. Another few minutes passed by and Carla popped her head back in and said "OK. Close your eyes now, or you'll ruin the surprise!" Compliant, Mel took out her headphones and set her mp3 to the side and closed her eyes.
"OK now... here. Put this in your mouth," Carla ordered
"It IS a milkshake isn't it?"
"You'll have to find out! Now here... take it!"
She felt a narrow tube touch her lips and she gently slid her lips around it, creating a seal. It sure felt like a straw...
Turns out it...
