Kim could hear a series of clumsy 'clunks' from within the machine, a cue the drink was on its way down. In a matter of seconds, the can of soda dropped into the tray. She grabbed the drink from the machine. The can was a vibrant green color, with a multitude of bubbles dotted all over it. She turned the can in her hand to read the label.
"Hmm... 'Fizz Light,'" she mused. "They give em some crazy names now."
Her prior meal had left her quite parched. Thinking nothing more of the name, she quickly popped the cap open and started chugging the soda. She tipped the can higher as she drank until it was completely vertical. She wanted to get every last drop.
"WOW! That was just what I needed!" she said as she wiped her upper lip. She got some odd looks from a few passers-by because of her exclamation, but she shrugged it off.
The whole rest of the day went off without a hitch. It couldn't have gone smoother. She made it through class at the college and saw a movie with some friends. she even ate at the same joint again for dinner, this time remembering to order a drink. On her way home, however, she stopped at the machine and got another Fizz Light, to save for later.

By the time she got home, Kim had noticed it was pretty late. It had been a long day, so she opted to hit the sack. As she began to change into her pajamas, her stomach began to rumble. A pressure began to build in the pit of her belly. She placed her hand over her mouth...
"Burp!"
Kim blushed form embarrassment. Though she lived alone, she knew it wasn't very 'lady-like' of her. Her hand did little to suppress the sound. Her burp was still quite audible. But then it started again... the growling and pressure of her stomach returned.
"Must've been something I ate," she thought.
Yet unlike last time, the rumbling got even louder, the pressure building further...
