Aerith had a secret she hadn't told her friends. She had seen in a vision that she was fated to die prematurely. She didn't exactly know how, but she wanted to do anything to prevent it and stay with her friends. She poured herself into research on materia, and found that a certain combination could change ones fate permanently. That was definately what she wanted, though the book said that the spell often had undesirable consequences. She didn't really care, as long as she got to stay with her friends.
One night while her friends slept, she decided to test the spell. Besides the materia, the spell called for a strand of hair from a close friend. She thought that was odd, but seemed worth the price. She decided to get some from one of the other girls, since they were the least likely to jump to conclusions if she was caught. Slowly she snuck into ______'s room.
