The tiny engineers, all at your command scramble about, getting ready to power up the portal that will take you to yet again another alien world for you to destroy at your leisure. You sit on the ginormous metal floor of the room, although to you it's quite small. It's barely tall enough to let you stand, and just wide enough that you can put both your arms out and touch the walls.
An engineer from far below hails you with a flash of blue light. You look down, and nod to let them know you're listening.
"Faust, sir, we're ready to launch the portal.". You make sure to whisper in reply, though it's plenty loud enough for them to hear. "Start it up."
The giant blue ring, once again barely big enough for your stature, begins to glow, filling the empty space with it's bright pulse. Making sure none of your minions are beneath you, you stand up, making the ground shake with your enormous paws.
The light on top of the portal changes from red to green, and you take two steps to come up to it. Taking a deep breath, you put one foot foward, it disappearing in the strange sea, and you take the other step.
