A strange-looking MP3 player

You find a strange MP3 player. Its flat and new looking, but it has a plate pattern on it similar to a nursery room wallpaper. Strange...not really the pattern, but what's a new looking MP3 doing in this old house? You turn it on and look at the playlists to see its all kiddie songs and lulabies. Even weirder...

Still, its a free MP3 player. You decide to take it; you could always have the plate pattern changed later. As you head upstairs, suddenly the MP3 starts playing a strange song. Did you happen to hit the play button?
