There they are, in their usual table near the windows. Y'all picked that spot because it is close to the food counter, gets plenty of sunshine, and has a trash can and exit nearby. You see three of your friends waving to you. Smiling, you head over and join them.
"Hey, what's up Brad?" an athletic blonde boy named John asks you.
"Get any sleep in History class this morning?" asked Sam.
"The pizza gets my top rating today, especially the supreme," piped up Daniel.
There were about 5 or 6 boys at your table; and, interestingly, two girls. These two were actually friends of yours that you knew for some time and invited to join your "gang," knowing they were ferverently anti-vore and rather religious besides. It took some persuading, but finally the other boys agreed to let them in and actually felt more comfortable having them there. There was a third girl who began to hang around your group lately, but you actually had some doubts about her. Still, perhaps she would turn out to be harmless, just a little interested in boys...in a "natural" way.
A few more boys showed up, in addition to that one extra girl, by the time you got your food and came back.
"Okay guys, listen up," spoke the leader (you are actually the co-leader of the group). Mike, the leader, glanced around the room before continuing.
"Got some good news...digestions are at an all time low around here these days. About one boy every ten days. I'm hoping we can push that down to one every two weeks by the end of the semester, but it's going to take teamwork and vigilance. We need to make these guys here so hard to get that the girls stop thinking about even trying, at least at school. Trouble is, there's a few weak ones I've been identifying, and they are going to need extra training and protection where possible. You all need to pay attention to this list I've collected."
Mike pulled out a sheet of paper with names and photos on it and passed it around.
"Most of these guys are freshmen, but we've got a junior who's always hanging around the girls and seems a bit soft. I've spoken to him, and he doesn't want to be digested, but he'd have a hard time resisting if a girl tried to seduce him. Name's Nate. We need to watch out for him, okay?"
"I also got a new book about some defensive techniques. I'll share these with you all once I've finished. How about next week we all try to head over to the gym after lunch and practice?"
After a round of nods and assents, Mike collected the sheet of paper back again, stowing it safely in his bag.
