Kagome and Sango managed to track down a Jewel Shard late into the night without the guys. Feeling confident after defeating a rat demon, the girls reached for the Jewel Shard that the demon had used.

As the girls reached for the Jewel Shard, Kagome felt a little funny.

"You can purify it, right?" Sango asked as she held the Jewel shard.

"I should be able to." Kagome explained as she accepted the shard from Sango.

"Let's head back to the inn. I'm sure they're worried about us." Sango told her friend.

Kagome nodded and they began to walk back to the inn, feeling a little funny.
