Arriving at their chose table, the four sat down. Looking down at her lunch, Tiffany drawled out her perpetual question "Aaam I faat?"
"Gosh, no, Tiffany. You're so skinny" Stacy responded perkily. "Wish I could be skinny," Stacy continued, in a half-audible mutter, giving her mid-section a poke.
"She's right Tiffany; you really don't need to worry about being fat. You ask us this every day. Just eat, already" Quinn added, a bit peremptorily. "If anything, you're too thin; you barely have any curves as it is."
As the conversation turned else where, two phrases rolled through Tiffany's head 'Tooo thinnn...?' and 'Just eat.'
"Gee Quinn, you sure don't have that problem. But are you sure you really want to eat all that?" Sandi asked in her typical snotty voice. "I mean you're already 'curvy' enough" Sandi smirked to herself, as see her barbed insinuation had slid home.
Quinn subtly tugged her shirt down further over her recently soft belly. "Oh no, Sandi, I can eat anything I want. With my figure and my fast metabolism I never have any worries about that" Quinn turned the question around in a form of conversation jiujutsu. "But I think I saw some light salad dressing at the salad bar; maybe you'd like some?"
"No, Quinn. You are mistaken. Like you, I am much to thin and fit to ever worry about something like that. Don't you agree?" Sandi bit back bitterly, feeling she had lost a point in their perpetual game. And to prove her point, she dug in to her meal heartily forcing Quinn to do the same, to keep up appearances, calling her bluff. As she did, Sandi thought to herself 'Damn it. As if these pants weren't already tight enough today.'
