Chapter #5

On her own

    by: Gr8tfirefighter Author IconMail Icon
Jessica sat quietly in her seat as the pilot received final clearance from the tower and taxied the plane down the runaway. In a matter of minutes they were in the air and cruising steadily at a high altitude.

She was starting to feel very warm. She wasn't nervous but rather concerned. If this mission failed, she might not be able to stay with the company. Making sure this guy was killed was the only way she could stay. Normally, she would play the role of the spotter but lately she had been itching to perform the kill. She had already called her people and informed them to meet her at the next airport. But if she succeeded in performing the deed before they landed, it would put her in a very high light in the eyes of the directors.

She sat up in her seat and looked over her shoulder at the man who at that same moment caught her eye. He knew she was looking at her but he didn't know why. She cocked her head to the side indicating the lavatories and he nodded his head in agreement. He slowly stood up and made his way to the bathroom. She watched which bathroom he entered, waited a few minutes, then got out of her seat and made her way to the back. She knocked once and he opened the door so she could squeeze herself in with him.

She knew what he expected but was planning on something very different. She needed to perform a quiet kill so as not to alert the crew and to give her time to distance herself from the victim. He was getting nervous so she kissed him hard on the lips while waiting for her moment. Suddenly over the loudspeaker, however, she heard the pilot voice

"Attention passengers, unfortunately, we are approaching a very large storm that we are unable to pass around. Turbulence is expected to be very rocky and I am asking all passengers to return to their seats and buckle. The seatbelt sign is between turned on as we speak. Thank you."

Jessica groaned. She had to make a choice quick and fast

You have the following choices:

1. Return to seat and wait

2. Perform the deed now and take chances
