It was an average day for Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl. She was still in college and she was doing well in her course. She had been out with Batman regularly fighting crime. She thought things were looking up for her.
One night Batman and Batgirl reported to trouble at a research lab near the Gotham Docks. They looked at it from a building. But from what they could see nothing seemed to be happening.
“You think it’s another dead-end?” asked Batgirl.
“I doubt it,” replied Batman.
“Come on there’s nothing happening.”
Just then they heard a glass shattering. Then there was a small explosion that blasted the door open.
“You were saying?” said Batman.
“So sue me.”
They then went into action. They could see some robbers coming out with several different canisters. They could see the heroes coming and they became afraid. They even fired at them.
“Pathetic,” said Batgirl.
