It's dark. And green. Lee walked through a strange alien wonderland with huge boulders and mounds and hills surrounded by vast towering shapes blocking out the sun and huge alien trees. Ahead was a huge hill. All around creatures run about. Alien creatures! Scared but curious went to investigate. They were man-sized just about but impossibly strange. They ran on all fours with long slender legs... but six legs! They were like huge insects. Their heads were smooth with strange dark eyes and their black bodies segmented each part reflecting the light in strange ways.
Where was he?
"Hello?" he called out to one of the creatures. It (she?) was terrifying to begin with but now seemed graceful and beautiful as she moved lithely across what looked like vast moss.
"Hello!" she called and the words appeared in his mind. Telepathy! "Who are you and where do you from? I am Issa." She had mandibles and antenna protruding from her head. She looked like a very strange horse.
Lee thought back trying to introduce himself and it worked.
"In answer to your questions you are in The World. We are the sisters of dream and you are invited to The City of Dream."
Ulla motioned behind her and he saw again the hill, now recognising it to be man- or ant- made, a vast mound over a hundred feet high crafted with bizarre architecture and designs and swarming with these strange beings.
"Won't you come?"
Lee was confused and more than a little afraid. But he was enchanted by Ulla's strange beauty and that of her sisters and city and was aching to see more! How could he risk losing this?
