Since the previous chapter was so badly written (i.e. basically unintelligible), we’re just going to pretend it didn’t happen and start over.
Looking up from the floor, you see your mother, Juliet. A single mom for as long as you can remember, she’s dedicated to her children and her successful career in law. She’s wearing a professional pantsuit and her favorite red tie, and from the look on her face (not that you have a good view), she’s had a long day.
She kicks off her shoes in the direction of the shoe pile your sister tries and fails to keep organized. One shoe lands dead center, the other a few feet away. Your mother makes no effort to correct this.
She moves to the kitchen, and you hear the fridge door open and close. She walks toward the living room, where you currently are, heading towards the couch. You scurry under the coffee table before she can get there and accidentally step on you.She flops down, groaning, and pops the top of one of the two beers sheiks holding.
You decide now is the best time to get her attention, before she’s finished her beer. You come out and start yelling and waving your arms.
