Karla took a deep breath and looked back down at the table. The small creatures were still there. They didn't seem to be making any more attempts to reach her.
Conrad and his commanders shuffled nervously waiting to see what the giant woman would do.
Karla just couldn't believe what she saw before her. "I'm obviously hallucinating," she said, "Too many hours working in this lab alone."
"Yes that must be it," she said looking around. "I'll just go and have a break, find some one to talk to."
Karla began to back away towards the lab door, not wanting to take her eyes off the creatures on the table.
Conrad saw that the woman was starting to leave and decided to risk another contact.
"Hello!! Excuse me, Can you help us?"
At the sound of the little things voice, Karla completely freaked out and ran to the door, giving a quick backward glance at the table as she pushed through the door.
