Drew and Jared were sitting on the couch while watching TV when Drew got a text message on his phone from his mom, who was at her work office at the time.
"Ah, I gotta run to the post office and pick up a package for mom! Okay, let's go, Jared!" Drew said.
Suddenly, Jared felt his body rise up off the couch.
"HEY! I can walk! I got legs!" Jared protested.
"I know, but I gotta practice my powers on you some more!" Drew grinned, as Jared found himself hovering a foot above the ground. Drew walked to the front door and stepped outside with Jared floating right behind him, without his shoes ever touching the floor,
When Drew stepped on the sidewalk and started walking, Jared hovered right next to him, keeping pace with Drew while floating at the same speed as Drew was walking.
"Uh... Why don't you let me walk, bro?" Jared asked again.
"Because it's more fun to make you fly next to me. That's what I want to do, and since I'm in complete control of you, that's what you're doing! Don't argue!" Drew mumbled, feeling annoyed.
Jared floated a foot above the ground as the boys walked to the post office. Jared noticed how none of the people on the street saw anything unusual about Jared floating a foot above the ground. Nobody said a word.
Once Drew opened the door to the post office, he held the door so Jared could hover through the doorway behind him. The boys stood in line, with Jared still floating next to him. Jared couldn't move at all, since his legs were not touching the ground. He was able to move his arms and legs, but since his feet never touched the ground, he had no control over where he was going.
Drew finally walked up to the counter and had the clerk get his package for his mom. Jared was hovering next to him, still floating above the ground. Once Drew had the small package, he turned around and walked out, and headed towards the exit with Jared hovering next to him. Suddenly, a nice lady called his name.
"Hi, Drew! Oh, I see you came with your friend!" an elderly lady said to him.
"Hi, Mrs. Jones. Yes, this is my friend, Jared!" Drew replied.
"Oh, umm... Hi!" Jared just said.
"Ah, I guess you're taking your friend flying today?" the lady smiled.
"Yeah, I wanted to get my friend out of the house and make him fly around for a bit. So, you might see him flying around in the air!" Drew giggled.
"Well, you're lucky that a young man like Drew takes good care of you!" the lady said to Jared. "I hope you enjoy your flying time!"
"Uhh... Thank you, ma'am!" Jared responded shyly.
Jared was amazed. So far, everyone thought that Drew flying him around was completely normal and it wasn't unusual at all! Seeing Jared float around, or fly in the sky, or get teleported around town didn't seem to shock or surprise anybody at all. People seemed used to it and everyone had accepted it as completely normal!
