While Mark went to pick up his stuff, Matt gathered the rest of the guys together. "It looks like Mark has been eating pretty well over the summer, but it's not gonna be enough. We've gotta push his limits and show him the kind of damage he can do when he needs to. You guys in?"
Everyone nodded as Mark approached them. As they left the gym, Matt finally managed to wear him down and get him to agree to heading to the cafeteria. Matt sat with him as the other guys headed off to collect the food for him. "You gotta eat or that whole workout's gonna be wasted."
They returned with several trays loaded with food for Mark to eat. They'd decided against things such as salads in favor of everything from pizza and burgers to pastries and sweets. The more substantial things would fill him up and the desserts would provide a nice break from the heavier foods. The guys placed plate after plate in front of him while Matt sat next to him, encouraging him to keep going.
He held his own through nearly four plates of food before beginning to slow down. Mark liked to eat, but there was a point that he didn't want to cross. His gut was stuffed and aching almost more than his sore muscles. He started on the fifth tray, but was certain that he'd pop before finishing even half of it.
Just then Matt reached over and placed his big hand on Mark's bloated stomach. Mark stopped eating and looked over at him quizzically. "Don't worry man. This'll help to relax your gut a bit and let you eat more. Trust me, it feels real good."
