Shizune, loyal assistant to Tsunade, sighed again as she was told that the Godaime would once again be locked away all afternoon in conference. It seemed that each day was a repeat of itself , Tsunade had just recently come back to the Village Hidden in Leaf to become the 5th Hokage so for the past week or so the blond woman found herself knee deep in paperwork and in meeting after meeting.
The paperwork Shizune didn't mind since it gave her some to do, a file here a file there and what not, but even if she was the aide of Tsunade the meetings were prohibited to her so for hours on end she had nothing to do...that is until Team Seven came around.
One day out of the blue they invited her to come eat with them, or rather Naruto did with Sakura as backup Sasuke and Kakashi didn't speak a word (though the latter male did smile softly as usual) yet had no personal problem with her coming along.
During her travels with Tsunade, Shizune had gotten used to eating rather light (food rations or ironically small bowls of ramen) since her superior often gambled away most of their Ryo before the raven-haired young woman had a chance to buy some proper nourishment and of course there was Tonton to feed...
Because of that as the days went by and she joined Kakashi and his squad for meals she ate to her heart's content...and while it wasn't noticeable Shizune knew this binging had brought upon a couple of extra pounds. Nothing major mind you it was really anywhere from 10 to 15 pounds easily shed able in her line of work.
So as usual there Shizune stood watching Team Seven finish their afternoon training routine, several minutes later she was walking with the four of them to Ichiraku's. As they arrived Kakashi mentioned he'd pay for their meals, a green-light for Naruto to order as much as he wanted (which the boy often did whenever the older male paid).
Shizune, in the back of her mind, wondered if she too should "take advantage" of Kakashi's generous offer (of course she'd pay him back as soon as she could). As she went over her options her eyes fell back to her belly and the weight she had put on as of late.
